It is a true story of CODA (child of deaf adult) grew up living between the Deaf and Hearing world. A hearing daughter of a deaf father who tries to deal with everyday challenges, finds out that her father losing his vision due to glaucoma disease. Struggling to cope with the consequences, one day she argued over the fact that her father cannot work as a draftsman, which lead them into a misunderstanding and she lost him from the bus. Will she get her father back?

一部戲劇式紀錄片，講述才華洋溢而悲慘的聾人演員、作家及前衛詩人朵邁爾斯的一生。透過訪問她的甥女、老朋友和舊同事，本片探討朵人生中的重大事件、描繪她的藝術性質及她對自我的反省。朵天生健聽，後來因腦膜炎失去聽力。朵對戲劇、音樂和英語充滿熱情，以詩歌表達她對英語的愛。朵在其後半生接觸到手語，本片研究手語對她的藝術的影響。朵在人生的最後二十年患上躁鬱症，本片記錄她如何與之共存，以及導致她的死亡的事件，其死因被裁定為自殺。她的結局雖然悲慘，本片展示出朵出眾的人生，今人仍能感受到她前衛的影響。

Dot is a dramatised documentary charting the life of the talented but tragic deaf actress, author and pioneering poet, Dot Miles. With interviews with her niece, old friend and former colleague, the film explores key events in Dot's life and captures her artistic nature and her introspection. Dot, who was born hearing and later became deaf through meningitis, was passionate about drama, music, and the English language - which she expressed in her poetry. Dot's introduction to sign language in later life and the impact this had on her art is looked at. For the last 20 years of her life, Dot had bipolar disorder and the film documents how she lived with this as well as the events leading up to her death - officially ruled as a suicide. However tragic its end, this film shows that Dot's life was an extraordinary one with the pioneer leaving a legacy that is still felt today.
